The woman has the right to divorce in the following cases: 

• If the man is imprisoned for three years, the woman can file for divorce after one year. 
• If the man abandons her for more than one year. 
• If the man suffers from an incurable illness of which the woman was unaware at the time of marriage. 
• If the man abuses or causes suffering to the woman to such an extent that cohabitation is no longer possible.

US Republicans might have that point of view

For most cases in US, republicans find it better, if even the woman has a short time lover, but not divorces in the following cases: 

• If the man is imprisoned for three years, the woman might have a short lover, 
  but children need their father and staying in prison should not mean., never see your children ever again.
  Here in that case the man, if he is not violent and kind when spending time with children, already has the right by law and social workers to see the children, but in many cases even with that right, he cannot visit them in reality.
• If the man abandons her for more than one year. 
  Look, US soldiers spend a lot of time overseas when they serve on aircraft carriers. It's a very tough job. Other hardworking US men are often away on business trips as traveling salesmen. 
  Such moral rules and practices would only help benefit lazy unemployed people, but neither the hardworking businessmen nor US Marines.
  I have nothing against unemployment, they often had it very difficult to get back in job. (I made that experience twice).
  But I have often seen here (in Europe) situations, where a woman wanted to get a divorce, when the man was working too much or engaging in civil society movements and not being a soo good husband. If the man wanted to build something for the family, and he could only do that as long as he was still fit enough.
• If the man suffers from an incurable illness of which the woman was unaware at the time of marriage. 
  This will match also  old American Football players,  presidents after 2 periods, soldiers who received purple heart for being wounded behind enemy lines or were slaughtered by VietKong.
• If the man abuses or causes suffering to the woman to such an extent that cohabitation is no longer possible. 
  Yes, that's a reason for most Americans too, but the only one.
  But why this point is at the last one at the end? It should be the first one!
  
  These society rules seem to be for US Republicans missing constancy. fidelity and faithfulness.

I'm neither hating nor disciminating muslims, I know, that the woman has those special rights in some regions of islam, because the man has only to say 3 times "I reject you" and so could force quickly a divcorce and could marry four women at the same time.
